This is the kind of "parody" version of a painting. The original painting is called "The Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. The significance of this painting is Van Gogh's "deteriorating mental state" and symbolizes his connection to nature and interest of traveling to the stars through death.

I decided to add a McDonald's to a corner of the painting because I'd thought it would be ironic considering there was no fast food in the 19th century.

My process wasn't too hard. I had to clean the area a bit by using the spot healing brush tool. For the rest I just used a regular brush. I also couldn't find a brush with the same texture as the painting to go over it.
